GENERAL INFO

  • Workshops/camps are three 3-week-long sessions
  • Camps are divided into age groups 5-7 are half-day camps, Ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 are full-day camps
  • Themes will be announced on the first day of each session
  • Fee amounts are per session.
  • Should you cancel you registration, HHT will retain a $25 processing fee.
  • Cancellations within a week prior to the start date are non-refundable.
  • Parents are expected to bring students to the appointed drop off location no more than 15 minutes before start time.
  • Students must be picked up within 15 minutes after the end of camp day. The third infraction will result in a $15 fee.
  • Participants are not allowed to bring guests to camp.

Theatre Production Workshops

BEST. SUMMER. EVER.

Ages 5 – 7: Half day camps, 8-11am($160 per session)

Ages 8 – 13: Full day camps, 8am-3pm ($200 per session)

Session 1: June 3-June 21
Session 2: June 24-July 12
Session 3: July 15-Aug 2

ALL camps are three weeks long. We offer three sessions per summer.

 

Both Steps must be completed in order for your enrollment to be secured.

If you did not pay in full, for your convenience your credit card will be charged ONE WEEK before the camp session begins to pay your session balance. If you prefer to pay using another method, please do so before the one week deadline.

Scholarships are available through the Parks for All Foundation.
2019 HHT SUMMER CAMP Scholarship Documents

BROADWAY BOUND (Ages 5-7)

All Sessions  |  M-F  | 8am-11am  |  HHT Admin Building
$160 per session

Do you have a budding talent in your house? Someone who sings, dances, acts or is full of energy, imagination, and creativity? Then this is the perfect opportunity for your little artist. Broadway Bound teaches basic acting, dance, and singing skills. Campers also use their creativity to explore props and costumes. Kids will present a short theatrical performance for family and friends on the last day of camp. Each session features a different performance so enroll in more than one session for a whole summer of fun!
PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO BRING: A full change of clothes, including underclothes, in a plastic bag (in case of spills or accidents) and a water bottle labeled with their name.

 

PRODUCTION WORKSHOP (Ages 10-11)

All Sessions  |  M-F  | 8am-3pm  |  Westlake Shelter
$200 per session

Campers will experience all aspects of a production from concept to performance. Campers work in teams to create original scripts related to the session theme. They will act in and provide technical support like costumes, set, and props for each other’s scripts. The focus is on writing, characterization, dialogue, and performance, while also learning about technical aspects of staging a short play. Quality arts training with a chance to write, perform, and tech all rolled into one! Campers perform for family and friends the final two days of the session.
PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO BRING: A sack lunch, sunscreen and a water bottle. Names should be clearly marked on lunches and all personal belongings. Water is available at the site.

STAR-STRUCK PLAYERS (Ages 8-9)

All Sessions  |  M-F  | 8am-3pm  |  Westlake Shelter

$200 per session.
These campers will explore different forms of theatre performance and expression during each of the sessions. They will work as a team to create a final showcase which may incorporate a variety of skills such as improvisation, puppetry, dance, singing/rap, mime, theatrical makeup, costuming, etc. Campers will share their showcase of creations and performance pieces with family and friends at the end of the session.

BREAK-A-LEG PLAYERS (Ages 12-13)

All Sessions  |  M-F  | 8am-3pm  |  Westlake Shelter
$200 per session

The Break-A-Leg Players camp is designed for young actors to focus on their performance skills, as well as hone their technical skills. Campers will audition, rehearse, and produce published scripts. The camp offers a combination of rehearsal and instruction to build campers’ audition skills, characterization, dance, and improv abilities. Campers may also help create set, props, and costumes and learn stage management basics. This class prepares campers to enter our Bath House Players at age 14. Two days of public performances will conclude the camp session. (Campers get two complimentary tickets and additional tickets are $3 each.)
